Glorys’ Journey to a Independence
Meet Glory, a bright 3-year-old girl with a heartwarming smile and an incredible journey. Hailing from a Haitian background, Glory arrived at Pathways speaking only Creole and facing challenges with self-help, social-emotional, and language skills. But in just a short time, with the support of her teachers and our classroom activities, Glory’s progress has been truly inspiring.
Once shy and hesitant, Glory has blossomed into a confident, independent little girl. She’s mastered skills like dressing herself, serving her meals, and tidying up, embracing independence with enthusiasm. Her playful spirit now shines as she joyfully interacts with classmates during playtime both indoors and outdoors.
Glory’s participation in circle time and small group literacy activities has grown, and she’s expanding her English vocabulary each day. Her eyes light up when she recognizes the first letter of her name, counts to ten, and identifies colors and shapes. It’s a delight to witness her eagerness to learn and explore in her classroom.
Each day, Glory brings joy to those around her, and we’re privileged to be part of her journey. Her story is a testament to the power of learning, love, and support. We can’t wait to see what more Glory will achieve.
